Uh-oh! Mr Custa and his crew find themselves way ahead of their time, trapped in the year 500 billion AD- a future Rome-styled world peopled by Roman Fish Centurions. If that wasn’t weird enough, just see what they’re planning to do with Sia…

BEHIND THE STORY with PHIL WHITMORE “THE LEGION OF TIME” This story was originally called “WAY AHEAD OF THEIR TIME” but this was changed because it sounded too pretentious. The story was to originally have featured Crocodile Men, but this was bizarrely changed to Roman Fish Men, the Frios. I still don’t know why I did that. I’m finding it almost impossible to imagine what the Frios look like. Yea, they’re fish, but do they have legs? How do they look in their Roman armour? Interestingly, every time the name “the Frios” is mentioned, it is said in a different way. Of course, Sia is kidnapped. Again. But this time she’s not to become a bride, or food, she is to be turned into an artsy wall decoration. This story also has one of my favourite lines, simply because it rings true to me always “I feel as out of place as a gherkin in a fruit salad” (said by one of the Frios)
