BEHIND THE STORY with PHIL WHITMORE “BLOB” Yea, yea its another “Kaiju” story. But this time, it’s all Mr Custa’s fault. He brought it home as an itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny sample, and, although he didn’t know it would grow like, really, really big, he should really have had an inkling that something like this was going to happen. He’s a fricking space hero! Anyway, I then decided to add the character of “Mitch Moody” a rival Rock star to play off Mr Custa’s more conceited tendencies. And it’s a shock to his crew, too. Suddenly, its like- “What? There’s a rival?” Yea, its good when the writers remember that Custa is meant to be a Rock star. And then there’s the last episode’s “Blobtastic” showdown with that song that originally went on for ages and had to be cut down… “Follow Meeeeeeee!”
